Vote for Your Favorite New Shaw Business in Shaw Main Streets' Seventh Annual Best New Business Contest

Shaw Main Streets has announced that voting is now open in its seventh annual Best New Shaw Business of the Year contest.   The candidates for Best New Shaw Business are the following:

• Capital Comfort Hostel, 1610 7th Street, NW
• Merkato Ethiopian Restaurant, 1909 9th Street, NW
• Mood Lounge, 1318 9th Street, NW
• Pizza D’Oro, 717 T Street, NW (there isn't a website for Pizza D'Oro, but check out the Yelp page here)
• Rogue 24, 922 N Street, NW, Rear (Blagden Alley)
• Seasonal Pantry, 1314-1/2 9th Street, NW
• SUNdeVICH, 1314 9th Street, NW, Rear (Naylor Court)

How to Vote
Email BestinShaw@gmail.com.  The name of the business you're voting for should be in the subject line and your name should be in the body of the email.  Votes must be received by noon on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 .

Eligible Businesses
You may be surprised that Mood Lounge is on the list.  According to the Shaw Main Streets notice, "[n]ew businesses that opened in 2011 are eligible."  Apparently the list of new businesses isn't whittled down for the vote.

Announcement of Winner
The winner will be announced at the Shaw Main Streets Annual Meeting on March 22, 2012.
