Stables Project on Naylor Court Approved by Board of Zoning Adjustment

The Board of Zoning Adjustment has approved zoning variances for the Stables project, which will be located at 1321-25 Naylor Court, NW.

The project site currently consists of one lot, with approximately 4,940 square feet of land; the lot currently houses a dilapidated one-story garage.  The developer will demolish the garage (an action previously approved by the Historic Preservation Review Board), subdivide the exsintg lot into three new lots, and build a rowhouse and rear carriage house on each new lot.  All three lots will share a motor court that will be located between the rowhouses and carriage houses.  View the project renderings after the jump.

The developer received a variance from the the lot width and area requirements and a variance from the lot occupancy requirements.  The BZA approved the variances after a March 6, 2012, hearing.  (The written BZA decision is not yet available.)
