Study Released on Development Around Green Line Stations, Including Shaw

The Capitol Riverfront BID released a study on development along the Green Line between the Georgia Avenue/Petworth and Navy Yard stations.  The goal of the study was to "examine the changes that have occurred in communities along Metro’s Green Line Corridor study area ... since the opening of Metro’s Green Line service." The report states that its findings "reveal that the Green Line corridor plays a central and critical role in the District’s and the region’s population growth, job creation, and investment, and will likely be an engine of future economic growth."  The report includes a good amount of Shaw-specific data, including income, jobs, housing prices, residential development forecasts, and retail and office demand.
